Getting an Internal Service Error -500 When Uploading a Picture? Here's Why
This is probably old hat to many of you but for some, it may be confusing. I know it was to me when I first came across it. I thought the server was down or that I broker something but it was nothing more than me trying to upload a picture that was too big.

Here's the solution - If you want to use that picture close these two extra windows and open the graphic in a picture editing software like Microsoft Paint, Photoshop or whatever program on your computer that allows you to edit and re-size a graphic.
Then simply re-size the image to at least half. Depending on how bit the original graphic is this typically works. You can get real exact and make sure the graphic is about 300 X 300. This is a good size.
Then save the graphic in it's new format and try re-uploading it again. This should work. If not, the picture is still too big. Try again.
Once you uploaded the graphic make sure to use a title and description < Here are definitions of both and use the "appearance" tab to put it where you want it.
One more thing! - Give your readers some space between the graphic and the words. This is found under the appearance tab also before the boxes "vertical space" and "horizontal space". Give at least 8-10 spaces. It creates a better look on the eyes not to have the words butted right up against the graphic.
Play with your graphic on the page. Have it be the center of attention or co-exist along side the text which I prefer. Then once it's in the blog, click on it to re-size it even further if you need to.
