WELCOME TO GLADWYNE PENNSYLVANIA - GLADWYNE LANDSCAPING

Home to about 4,000 residents, Gladwyne is a suburban community locating in Montgomery County along Philadelphia's Main Line district. Originally known as Merion Square, in 1891 Gladwyne was given its name to  distinguish itself from all the local "Merions" in the area. Gladwyne was a mill town with 24 operational mills along Mill Creek at one time during the beginning of the twentieth century. Over the years, the mills moved out and more and more residential developments moved in.  Landscaping in Gladwyne PA

Even though times have changed and residents have come and gone,Gladwyne has retained all of its original historic character while at the same time allowing the modern conveniences to dwell among the history. This includes various markets, shops, restaurants and diners.

Gladwyne is home to several historical and unique points of interest. The Henry Foundation for Botanical Research offers a beautiful botanical garden. Established in 1948 byt botanist and plant explorer Mary Gibson Henry, this garden contains scenic plantings, gardens and trails for walking and horseback riding. The garden sits among steep hills in the Rock Creek canyons and contains 15 varieties of native magnolias and other indigenous plants and trees.

As your Gladwyne landscaper John Pinto trie to use as many native vegetation as possible to create the natural scene in your yard.
The Rolling Hill Park is a beautiful 102-acre park on Mill Creek which includes historical mill buildings and dozens of places to stroll or sit a spell. Several farms around the area add to the local and historical charm of Gladwyne including the Idlewild Farm complex, a 47-aces farm with additional buildings which is donated to the Natural Lands Trust and the Saunders Woods Farm.  Bridlewild Trail is an extensive 35-mile trek through the Henry, Rolling Hill, Idlewild Farms and Saunders Woods area. The entire trail consists of over 70 miles but only 35 miles of that is marked. These trails wind through lush mountain terrain and through luxious mansion neighborhoods.
