Get to Choose What Type of Public Facilities They Want - Tri Cities Real Estate
It's not often your city comes to you to ask, "What do YOU want to see in our town?" But the Tri Cities area of Washington offered up the opportunity thanks to the Tri Cities Regional Public Facilities Board.
The Board is holding public meetings this week to discuss possible facilities that can offer enjoyment, recreation or all out fun for the folks around the Kennewick, Richland and Pasco Washington area. The meetings are : Wednesday, 26th: 7:00pm at the Tri-Cities Business and Visitor Center and the Thur27thsday: 7:00pm at the Columbia Basin College Library Room L-102.
If you want to help make this decision you are urged to be there. The board is hoping to narrow the choices down to about a dozen or more but the likely choices seem to be an aquatic center. Many folks around the Tri Cities area have to travel quite a distance if they want to swim, enroll their kids in aquatics or exercise this way.
Other options that have been thrown out there are a zoo, sports fields, amusement parts and performing arts centers. Some are already taking up part of the budget but it doesn't mean they won't have room for more. The field will get narrowed then the public will make the final choice.
Although this is just the preliminary hearing as the vote probably wont go to the public until sometime next year or so. It is a great idea to get involved if you plan on living in the Tri Cities real estate area for at least the next 5 years.
