The Beautiful Parks of Pullman Washington

Pullman is literally surrounded by the most amazing community parks. These parks are located in town, in neighborhoods and close to where you want to be. Although Pullman has over 14 parks, these are some of the largest. Whether you are uptown or downtown there is sure to be a park close by.

Bring your dog and take a slow stroll along the many trails including an exercise trail in Military park.  Military Park is located on the corner of Hall Street and Larry Street and shares it's property with the Pullman High School.

This park is full of tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball courts, picnic areas and more. You are welcome to bring your BBQ but there are also BBQ pits and grills provided as well as covered picnic areas.

One of the favorite attractions of Military Park is the nearby Aquatic Center. This community center includes swimming lessons for all ages, therapudic pool and exercise room.

Located just south of Military park is Conservation Park and it really is just that. Although there are not playgrounds and sports field this is truly a nature experience all in itself. There are trails throughout the park and depending on the time of year you visit you are likely to see wildlife, various flowers and plants and fields of green. This is a wonderful park to visit and play in.

Located at 147 SW Cedar Street in Pullman and just a little farther southwest from Conservation Park is Sunnyside Park. This park is known for it's golf course and sports courts. This provides a short course for the novice golf player although depending on the weather can be tricky with a large pond on site.

These two parks run into each other and provide a beautiful oasis in the middle of town. With Lawson Gardens surrounded by lush fields and circular garden beds this is sure to be a wonderful place to come and have lunch, browse with your thoughts or tour the best that Pullman has to offer in the flora department. Just north of the gardens in Kruegal Park.  You can walk to each of these locations but there is a convenient road connecting the two. Kruegal Park offers baseball fields, tennis courts and a playground area. These are perfect spots to enjoy for the whole family from little kids, picnic areas or grown-ups to enjoy the beautiful gardens.
